Tatarstan as an investment attractive region for pharmaceutical industry

28 August 2018, Tuesday

The GMP Conference format made it possible to bring together representatives of Russian and international pharmaceutical companies, scientific community, government agencies, medical organisations, and sectoral associations on the same platform. Today, on Day Two of the 3rd All-Russian GMP Conference, a plenary session was held dedicated to the potential of Tatarstan for entering the Russian and international pharmaceutical markets.

The session was organised by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade; its moderator was Minister Albert Karimov. Invited speakers and co-moderators include Scientific Director of the National Institute of Public Health, RAS academician Ramil Khabriev, Deputy Minister of Health of Tatarstan Farida Yarkayeva, and Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minnulina.

During the meeting, participants had a lively dialogue, discussion, and exchange of views. Expert opinions often converged on one thing: owing to the commitment and initiative of the republic's leaders, a project approach applied in pharmaceutics development, and the availability of a research base, attractive conditions have been already in place in Tatarstan for the creation of new sophisticated science-intensive pharmaceutical facilities.
