Ministry of Industry and Trade and Kazan State Power Engineering University signed an agreement on manpower training in power engineering

On 30 July 2013, the Kazan State Power Engineering University (KGEU) hosted a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Science and Education Cluster in the field of power engineering chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov. The meeting was attended by officials from KGEU, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, executives of major energy companies, representatives of ministries and agencies, professional colleges of the republic. The meeting discussed the action plan of the research and education cluster in the energy sector for 2013-2015. In addition, an agreement on the manpower training was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the KGEU. The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Coordinating Council Ravil Zaripov and KSPEU Principal Edward Abdullazyanov. Ravil Zaripov highlighted that “the cluster-type association allows the participants to interact in a wide range of issues. These are multi-level training in power engineering, joint development and implementation of networked educational programmes, career guidance to attract talented young people in the energy sector, and other important projects”.
