The incredibly fast pace of market development contributes to the increasing relevance of the national project. Improvements in production technology, the emergence of new trading platforms, volatility of resource prices and other factors contribute to the risk of losing competitive advantage. To reduce this risk, the enterprise needs to evolve and adjust to the current conditions.

Increase of labour productivity in enterprises is one of the most pressing development areas in Russia. In Tatarstan, the Regional Competence Centre in Labour Productivity (RCC), established in 2017 on the basis of the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, successfully implements this area within the framework of the Labour Productivity national project.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, a total of 128 Tatarstan enterprises in various sectors have joined the national productivity project to date, and 249 companies are scheduled to join it by the end of 2024. The most successful projects have significant results with an economic effect of up to RUB 100 million per year.

Targeted support and systemic measures to support the national project are aimed at optimising and mainstreaming all activities. Some of the lean production tools used in the targeted support measures optimise production processes.
