Ishikawa Prefecture delegation arrived in Kazan to attend WorldSkills

A delegation of the Ishikawa Prefecture (Japan) arrived in Tatarstan today. The visit is part of their participation in the WorldSkills Kazan 2019.

In the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the delegation was met by Deputy Minister German Lerner. He noted the readiness of Tatarstan to develop cooperation with Japan and wished good luck to the country’s representatives in the upcoming Competition (Japan is represented by 48 contestants in 42 skills).

The members of the Japanese delegation held a presentation for the meeting participants, where they talked about the features that their prefecture is famous for: about sights, nature, handicraft arts, and much more. The prefecture’s delegation also brought along and presented their products: alcoholic beverages, crab sticks, boiled walnut, soups, and sweets (rice cracker with ginger syrup).

From Tatarstan, the meeting was attended by Trade and Economic Representative of Tatarstan in Japan Tamerlan Abdikeyev, as well as representatives of Tatspirtprom and Bakhetle.

The extensive programme of the Japanese delegation includes a visit to the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, where presentations were made of the republic’s trade and economic potential, the Kazan (Volga) Federal University, and the WorldSkills and Future Skills competition areas.
