The full-scale production of MV-500 aircraft for agricultural purposes is planned to be organised in the republic. Today, the preparatory activities for laying the stone in the construction of the MB-500 (T-500) airplane assembly shops were discussed at a working group meeting chaired by Minister Karimov. The meeting also dealt with the transfer ceremony of 10 aircraft of MV-500 (T-500) model. Events are scheduled for the second half of May of this year with the participation of top officials from the republic and Rostec.

MV-500 is an up-to-date aircraft for aerial application. It has a composite glider and can be operated in different climatic conditions. The aircraft is equipped with a high-speed parachute system, which allows for the rescue of the aircraft with the crew. It can be used for environmental monitoring (especially during fire season), inspection of large industrial facilities, weather control, forest pest control, and petroleum products spill response.

The aircraft will be sold under the brand name T-500.

On September 6, 2018, the aircraft received a type certificate and became the first certified agricultural aircraft in the history of contemporary Russia.
