Nizhnekamskneftekhim marked its 50 years, and Nizhnekamsk itself reached 51 years of age. In this regard, the street parade was held dedicated to the double holiday.

The parade was opened by cadets of the Cadet Corps carrying flags of Russia, Tatarstan, and Nizhnekamsk. The production workers column was headed by representatives of enterprises incorporated into PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

The parade was joined by representatives of TANECO, Tatneft, and TAIF-NK, delegates of 60 schools, universities and colleges, kindergartens and medical institutions, builders and bakers, farmers and cattle breeders. In total, more than 4000 people participated in the street parade.

In the second half of the day, a new highly concentrated formaldehyde unit was put into operation. The opening ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, head of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin, Director General of TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov, Chairman of the Board of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Vladimir Busygin and Director General of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Azat Bikmurzin.

Also on this day, enterprise premises saw the presentation of the state awards.

With the purpose of attracting new suppliers and expanding cooperation with existing companies, OOO METRO Cash & Carry will hold a conference for local suppliers of the Volga region on September 12 in Samara.

The conference will introduce local producers to the strategic areas of the company's development, main principles of cooperation, quality standards, and assortment policies of Metro.

On September 7, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on increasing competition in the retail market of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was attended by Deputy of the Russian State Duma Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan Tahir Khadeyev, heads of Tatarstan’s ministries and agencies, regional branches of Russian federal authorities, municipalities of Tatarstan, and outlet chains.

Within the framework of the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Denis Valeyev introduced proposals for amendments to trade legislation regarding the development of a competitive environment for the retail trade in foodstuffs for consideration by members of the interdepartmental working group.

The members of the working group also discussed issues of cooperation between outlet chains and commodity producers.

The second day of the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum 2017 saw the meeting of the BARRel Business Exhibition Club held on the territory of the Russia's largest Kazan Horse Racing Complex. Within the framework of the event, participants received a unique opportunity for business communication and witnessed a bright and unforgettable horse racing show for the TOGPF Cup.

The Club is a societal organisation of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka bringing together participants in exhibition and congress activities that are interested and supporting business communication with representatives of exhibition and business communities.
