Today, the largest international event in the Russia’s oil and gas industry, the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum, started in the capital of Tatarstan. The event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim is held at the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy Director of the Department of Chemical Technology and Timber Industries at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Pavel Filatkin, President of the Russia’s Union of Oil & Gas Producers Gennady Shmal, and others.

Opening the forum, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin noted that forum participants include Russian and foreign scientists, oil-industry employees, geologists, heads of sectoral ministries and oil-bearing regions of the country.

After the opening ceremony, the honoured guests visited the displays of international industry exhibitions, where the participating companies presented their state-of-the-art materials, equipment and technologies for oil refining and petrochemicals sectors.

The Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum will last till September 8. Within the framework of the event, more than ten scientific and applied conferences, exhibitions, and round table discussions are scheduled.
