The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Director General of the Federal Operator for Developing Network of Quantorium Technology Parks Marina Rakova, Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Engel Fattakhov, and others.

As the President of Tatarstan noted, the theme of developing children's creativity, support of children’s research clubs has always been active in the republic. Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that the Quantorium technology parks for children have already been established and are currently operated in such cities of Tatarstan as Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk.

The sites are established using the funds from the federal budget and extra-budgetary sources in pursuance of the Russian President's order of May 27, 2015.

For reference: a Quantorium technology park is a present-day-format platform where children solve real tasks in the field of bioengineering, neurotechnology, unmanned aircraft, programming, nanotechnology, robotics, and other promising scientific and technology areas. At the same time, children are taught a team play, creative, critical, and productive thinking.

In the five months of 2017, the gross regional product of the Republic of Tatarstan, according to estimates, exceeded RUB 835 billion, or 104% at comparable prices over the same period in 2016. The products were shipped with a total value of more than RUB 863 billion; the industrial production index was 103.5%. In mining operations, the PPI grew by 2.8% compared to the level of January-May 2016. This was announced today at the Oil Summit by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

The traditional Oil Summit is held in the settlement of Karabash (Bugulma Municipal District) and is attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Kirill Molodtsov, Director General of the State Commission for Reserves of Commercial Minerals (GKZ) Igor Shpurov, Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Director General of Tatneft Nail Maganov, and others.

As a result of the comprehensive reconstruction, which started in 2014, the most reliable power flows will be ensured between the Centre, the Middle Volga, and the Urals.

The 500-kV Bugulma Substation is one of the three largest substations in the Tatarstan power system that provides transit of electricity from the Middle Volga generation facilities (Volzhskaya HPP, Zhigulevskaya HPP, Zainskaya GRES) to the Urals through the 500-kV Beketovo Substation.

The large-scale renovation of expensive power and secondary equipment at the 500-kV outdoor switchgear was launched in 2014.

The old equipment is now entirely dismantled; construction and assembly operations are being completed for the further installation of a new one, which has been received from the manufacturers. Also, a work was carried out to dismantle the old and install new busbars. Glass insulators that are currently being installed have better parameters than the previous porcelain elements.

The final stage of the work is to be carried out in July, after which the territory will be landscaped: the project provides for planting of trees, bushes, and grass cover.

The ethylene plant of Nizhnekamskneftekhim has produced the 17-millionth tonne of ethylene since its launch.

The first ethylene product was received in June 1976 at the Ethylene-450 unit (ethylene production facility with an annual capacity of 450,000 tonnes). On August 31 of the same year, the State Commission signed the commissioning certificate for this new facility.

As a result of the first reconstruction and retrofitting of the ethylene plant, which was carried out in 1988-1992, the ethylene output was increased up to 485,000 tonnes per year. In 2011, after the second reconstruction, which was carried out in 2002-2009, the plant reached an output of 600,000 tonnes per year. Since that time, the annual ethylene output averages 607,000 tonnes per year.

In total, during the plant's operation, about 57.6 million tonnes of pyrolysis feedstock were processed and more than 33.8 million tonnes of main products were produced (in addition to ethylene, these are propylene, divinyl, and benzene).
