Today, General Director of the Russian Helicopters holding Andrey Boginsky briefed Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov on the progress of helicopter deliveries under the State Defence Order and outlined the plans for the purchase and use of Mi-38 helicopters in accordance with the parameters of the future State Armaments Programme.

At the Kazan Helicopter Plant, Yuri Borisov and Andrey Boginsky inspected the unit assembly and final assembly workshops of the Ansat and MI-38 helicopters and discussed procurement and production plans, as well as the appearance of the new Mi-38 helicopters to be equipped for the needs of the Ministry of Defence. The national military establishment became the first customer of the new multipurpose Mi-38 helicopter.

“Mi-38 is a highly automated helicopter, which, owing to its wide application capabilities, is able to meet all the requirements of the Russia’s Ministry of Defence. At present, the first two helicopters are being completed for the Ministry of Defence; they are scheduled to be delivered to the customer for operation testing in the near future”, said Andrei Boginsky, the Director General of the Russian Helicopters holding.
