Tatneft has completed the scheduled overhaul of the TANECO oil refinery. Repair work on the process units took place from April 15 to May 14. Starting from May 15, pre-commissioning activities have been carried out at all TANECO facilities to bring them to design process conditions.

This task became possible due to careful preparation for the repair period, as well as well-coordinated and professional work of the management, experts of Tatneft, TANECO, and contractors.

During the overhaul period, a set of measures has been implemented, aimed at ensuring the long-term, safe, and reliable operation of the TANECO complex equipment. This includes the re-equipment of the railway overpass for oil products filling at TANECO, which makes it possible to ensure environmentally safe filling of petroleum products using computer-aided procedures with the required performance level. Moreover, as part of the retrofitting and upgrading, the bulk of construction and installation work have been completed at the truck-loading platform for oil products.

The work done during the overhaul period would essentially improve the efficiency of existing facilities. The company plans to proceed to a five-year inter-repair run.

KAMAZ completes the factory tests and prepares the first batch of trucks run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) for delivery to Gazprom's subdivisions.

With comparable prices, the main competitive advantage of LNG trucks over trucks run on compressed natural gas (CNG) is the volume and number of tanks. If the first ones have one tank ensuring a fuel distance of up to 700 kilometres, CNG vehicles should fill about 13 standard cylinders for a similar run. This not only essentially increases the truck weight thus reducing the payload, but it also requires an extended frame so that the cylinders can be placed on it, along with the body or superstructure.

Two KAMAZ-65117-37 and one KAMAZ-65116-37 will be sent to the trial performance from the Scientific and Technical Centre. These are the two models of LNG trucks, which were the first in Russia to undergo certification.
