New installations launched at TANECO

Today, the TANECO refinery launched the installations for hydrotreating of kerosene and diesel fuel.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Pavel Sorokin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev, and executives of enterprises in the fuel and energy sector.

New installations will increase the output of products with high added value. The annual feed rates of kerosene hydrotreating unit and diesel hydrotreating unit are 500,000 and 1.6 million tonnes, respectively. These production facilities will allow achieving the optimum level of fuel quality to meet present-day environmental and operational requirements.

TANECO is a high-tech project of Tatneft aimed at developing the oil-refining segment in order to ensure long-term sustainable business development. Tatneft allocated a total of over RUB 307 billion for the implementation of this project. TANECO has become an important project not only for Tatneft, its implementation has provided a synergic effect for many sectors of the republic’s economy, such as mechanical engineering, construction industry, metal industry, and design science.
