Retrofitting of the Kazan CHPP No. 2 resulted in making considerable gains in efficiency of the combined heat and power plant. This was announced by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with the energy company’s staff.

The Tatarstan President thanked the employees for their well-coordinated work. “The figures for 2017 demonstrate efficiency, profit, other positive indicators, the lower consumption of conventional fuel per kilowatt of energy, work on the heat supply of our capital and our other cities. This work is systematically conducted by you”, he said.

According to the Tatarstan President, Tatenergo today is doing a great job of upgrading the facilities. Its plans include retrofitting of the Zainsk GRES.

In addition, the President was offered to organise a republic’s championship of skilled trades for young employees at republic’s enterprises, most of whom cannot participate in the WorldSkills Competition due to age restrictions.

“As for the WorldSkills conditions – yes, the limit is 22 years. However, there are sectoral championships, and there is one more championship, where the age is limited to 28 years. Well, what you say, there are all possibilities to organise a republic’s championship, there are no difficulties. I believe we are ready to do this”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
