Ford Sollers launches educational project in Tatarstan

Ford Sollers Company announced the launch of an educational project to introduce the advanced dual education system in the regions of the company's presence, such as the Republic of Tatarstan and the Leningrad Oblast. The company, in collaboration with leading experts from the WorldSkills Association, has developed a course for the teachers of secondary vocational schools for the introduction of the dual education model using the professional modules in the Mechatronics specialty.

At the closing ceremony of the WorldSkills regional competition, the first certificates for the introduction of a new training system were handed to teachers of secondary special educational institutions of Tatarstan. In total, the project involves 10 secondary vocational schools from the regions of Ford Sollers's presence, where the company is one of the largest employers.

The project’s first stage is the training courses for teachers of secondary vocational schools for developing the curriculum and basics of teaching Mechatronics drawing on dual education system principles and in accordance with the Federal Educational Standard of Secondary Professional Education titled “Mechatronics and Mobile Robotics”.

In case of successful introduction of the mechatronics course in vocational schools, Ford Sollers intends to develop the educational project even further and is prepared to accept a pilot group of students being trained using the dual model.
